1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account, using the PharmaSaathi mobile app, or accessing our admin platform, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use PharmaSaathi.
2. Who can use PharmaSaathi
PharmaSaathi is intended for use by pharmacy owners, staff, and authorised representatives operating a retail pharmacy business in India. You must be at least 18 years old and legally authorised to run or work at the pharmacy you register.
3. Your account
- You log in using your phone number and a one-time password (OTP). Keep your device and OTP access secure — you are responsible for all activity under your account.
- One account is tied to one store's owner phone number. You may add staff access in future as that feature becomes available.
- Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
4. Plans, billing, and payments
- Paid plans are billed via Razorpay. Prices shown in the app at the time of purchase apply.
- Subscriptions do not auto-renew by default under our current billing model — you make a manual payment each period. If this changes to auto-recurring billing, we will notify you in advance.
- Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis (for example, duplicate charges or verified technical errors) at our discretion, and are processed back through Razorpay.
- If a payment fails or a plan expires, some paid features become unavailable, but your data is not deleted.
- Coupon codes and promotional discounts are subject to the terms stated at the time they are offered and may be withdrawn or modified.
5. Your data and content
- You retain ownership of your store, inventory, sales, and customer data ("your content"). We do not claim ownership of it.
- You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely to operate the service for you — including processing invoice photos through our OCR provider to extract medicine details on your behalf.
- You're responsible for the accuracy of data you enter or confirm, including OCR-extracted invoice data, medicine prices, and expiry dates.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use PharmaSaathi for any unlawful purpose, including selling scheduled or controlled substances without the required licenses
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to our systems or other stores' data
- Upload content that infringes on others' rights or is fraudulent (e.g. fake invoices)
- Use the platform to send unsolicited bulk messages via the WhatsApp/SMS/email features
7. Regulatory compliance is your responsibility
PharmaSaathi is a business management tool. It does not replace your obligations as a licensed pharmacy under Indian drug control, GST, or other applicable laws. You are solely responsible for holding a valid drug license, complying with Schedule H/H1/X dispensing rules, and maintaining any records required by law, whether or not PharmaSaathi is used to assist with them. Compliance features in the app (license expiry alerts, KYC status) are provided as a convenience and do not constitute legal advice or a compliance guarantee.
8. AI-assisted features
Invoice scanning uses an AI vision service to read medicine details from photos. AI extraction can make mistakes — you are always shown a review screen and must confirm extracted items before they're saved to your inventory. We are not liable for losses arising from unreviewed or incorrectly confirmed AI-extracted data.
9. Service availability
Core billing and inventory features work offline using data stored on your device. Cloud sync, invoice scanning, and admin-side features require an internet connection. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated via in-app announcement where possible.
10. Suspension and termination
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or pose a security risk to the platform.
- You may stop using PharmaSaathi and request account closure at any time by contacting support.
- On closure, your data is retained per our Privacy Policy retention terms and then deleted or anonymised, subject to legal record-keeping requirements.
11. Limitation of liability
PharmaSaathi is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, including business losses, data loss beyond our reasonable control, or decisions made based on app-generated reports or AI-extracted data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use of PharmaSaathi after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be flagged in-app and the version/date at the top of this page will be updated.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at the location of PharmaSaathi's registered office.
